My 2006 Ch trip - 2006/06/15 18:54
This year it is a very boring story, not as adventurous as the last one. NO wonder, I only had one long weekend with 2 nights stay at Cameronian. It was my first trip to Ch by car but it was not as scary as I thought before. Arrived in the afternoon at Cameronian, checked in into a nice room for RM 45. It is a really great place with great staff but they don't take any bookings and one needs to be very brave esp. on the weekend.
I planned no walking and didn't even know whether the rafflesia was blooming. My feet and muscles were still sore from Sabah and Sarawak. I climbed G.Bako with shoes with a too large size but the next day I bought another pair which fitted quite well and reasonably priced too.
The culinary indulgements up there were certainly nothing I would like to give a pass. Zainab Sam, T-Cafe for the tea and scones, missed the apple pie, Brinchang steam boat and a few satays from Brinchang night market. At first I was slightly confused with new new venue but it was OK.
Driving up the winding road to Sungei Palas Tea estate truly gave me the worst adrenalin shocks, heart rate++++++during the whole way up, shivering legs as I arrived the top. It was a hectic day but I was simply too stressed to be able to judge how friendly or unfriendly the staff really was.
Now back in KL, waiting for my plane to Frankfurt.
