Re:Strawberry park - 2008/04/11 20:30
Hi Fiona,
Well strawberry park isn't that bad. Its not a new resort so fair wear & tear are expected. If you are not satisfy with the room, you may request for a change provided its not a peak period and there are rooms available. Personally I felt the service is quite good. Both trips were satisfactory to us.
On the subject of hot water, what you need is to on the switch for about 20mins before shower. The heater is a tank form so there is a limited capacity of hot water. It should be sufficient for one person, provided you don't let the water keep running while we shampoo our body. My wife experienced it, she full blasted and let the water run while soaping, and about 15mins later she told me no more water.
What I did was after she showered, I waited 20mins and I got hot water again. I conserved energy by turning off when I soaped and I turn on just to have warm water only I don't like it too hot. So in other words keep shower to 15mins and need to heat up 20mins before next person. Or else he or she will scream because the cold is really cold.
There isn't much you can do at the resort, its very relaxing, walk around the garden, Spa, a pub in the evening, coffee house, gift shop and there is a strawberry farm in the resort-check opening time with reception please. Well they have an indoor swimming pool.
My wife and me spend most of our times at Brinchang or Tanah Rata. Only after dinner we stroll around the resort for cool fresh air then back to watch tv. We don't even take our breakfast there we use our rebate for massages at the Spa center. I took about 8 hours from singapore to cameron via the Simpang Pulai way. Because I took breaks about every 100 to 150 km. I am the only driver and I am in mid 50s Ha! Ha! not bad for an old man. Do not go too fast because there are speed traps. I start at about 6am from tampines and was in CH at 2pm.
Hope u enjoy your holidays and wish all of u a safe and pleasant trip.
