Any suggestion for halal food (beside Zainab Sam)especially for steamboat ?
To me, Zainab Sam is good.
They are at Tanah Rata, they sell rice and various dishes for lunch and at night beside the dishes, they also sells food similar to Thai fast cook dishes. I love her Nasi Paprik, while my children love her Nasi Pataya. You should try the ikan bakar, marvelous. Price is moderate and affortable.
Abt Scones, I've tried at T-Cafe, it taste normal to me, any other places where I can find a really good scone which will remind me of them always.
Any other strawberry jam that is better then KHM ?
Nasi ayam at shop(woodern shop) opposite Mayban is moderate. The hospitally from the ladies who worked there is good, very humble and fast.

Hello everyone,
If possible, you should include YOUR choices of top 5 eateries, numbering each one, instead of merely asking questions or commenting on existing entries.
The more a particular outlet is highlighted, the more credible the listing will be.

1. Suria - for its wide variety - clean 2. Tcafe - nice environment + tasty food
There should no problems if you're a vegetarian as they are enough shops here indian, western and chinese to cater for that. In chinese shops you only need to ask and inform them you're vegetarian.

Hello, Steven/Senna101!
Sorry for the late post. Yeah, I tried the pasta. Personally, didn't quite like that much. Still prefered their Cha Koay Teow as a main meal.
Managed to try Restaurant 14. Good taste overall!
Missed out on Gerai Opah's Nasi Lemak. Can't seem to catch their available opening hours.
Sorry, admin. Don't really have any favourite preference in any order. Just savour the different offerings whenever it fancies me!
Cheerio! Jan.

Dunno the name but it's beside OK-Tuck Restaurant (right-side) in Brinchang town. I ate their Wan Ton noodles for RM4. Good place esp when you just arrived at Cameron.
Cheers JT

I have been to the following:
T-Cafe No doubt... the scones and apple was the best. All shud try it. On the service wise was fair. I guess ththat day Ms.Terese was not that good mood, rather fierce and moody. Price wise fair.
KHM Strawberry Farm (It it KHM in Tmn Sedia, family biz by En Khalid... somthing like that.) After reading so many updates and the way to go there, we tried and it turn out great. The ice-cream was cool and great so as the strawberry shake. In fact its so good that we went there at least three (3x) times in our week long stay. Go and try it.
OK Tuck They have a menu with all the reasonable price tag. Good food. Somehow do take note, this happenned to me... the 1st day we went there we were given a receipt when paying and of course with a 5% gov tax. The nex day we went and this time no receipt given. We then ask for it... and the boss told us that if we want to have a receipt, there'll be a 5% tax charge! I was rudely shocked! Only if I knew the 1st day. We did not ask further. Is this any rational behind this? Izzit true? So if its true, all do take note then.
Anyway,as I have mentioned in the beginning, overall the food is good and fair price.
Just don't go to FungLam Restaurant which is just two shops next to it. Its really cut-throating. You will know when you go there and observer that most of the time not many people is there as compare to others.
So enjoy ya!!!

T Cafe will take the number 1 spot for me. Its good food at decent prices... but I find their scones to be under par, a bit umm dry and flaky to my taste. Plus the cream they serve is not the type I think should be used, whipping cream as opposed to double cream.....but for the price it is good.
OK Tuck in Brinchang is the other place I would say is good. But rather pricy for what you get.. Love their fried mixed mushrooms.
KHM Strawberries, Strawberry Frappe at a very decent price... and lots of it too! I had to go back 3 times for it over the weekend hehe...
Those who have a car at their disposal, you ought to try going to Tringkap for dinner. This is past Brinchang, and if you are looking for a bargain (as long as it does not involve fish) then there are quite a few to choose from... my hint? Go to the one thats the most crowded.
For mamak.. I like Bunga Suria, next to the KLG in Tanah Rata. But umm... make sure if you can't chillis to tell em no chillis!
Finally I think this place gets often overlooked. While not exactly an eatery, you can find something thats most unique... real rose syrup and no colouring in it! This is at the Robertson Rose Garden, yes it is still there and it is on the way to the Sg Pallas Boh Plantation, while going up after 1km or so, you will see a gate on your left, going uphill, take it and at the end of it is the Rose Garden, there is no sign either that it is a business. They do have very good rose syrup and quantities are very limited (none would exist if I had visited before you hahahaha cos the last trip I bought all she had made for the day) The other thing she sells thats very nice is this Durian Honey.. its a very unique honey and well it is quite expensive as well. She also has some passion fruit juice..... while all this is not exactly edible, but it is recommended over those blood sucking cutthroat places you find at the normal places.... try it you won't regret it.

Hi admin
Sorry I didn't find out about KHM through your site but by accident. I was trying some off-track bushwalk like every Ozzie and fell into their garden. They are great people with great strawberries and ice cream, the fruit so carefully packed.
BTW, I lost my password and can't enter this site as a registered member. I tried to write but nothing worked
