Cameron trip With Beloved Teresa - 2005/11/07 00:29
I had not experienced such a wonderful trip before and there had been too many happy moments with my girlfriend, Teresa. As such, I wish to share this experience with her especially and the rest of you.
Day # 1 (4th Nov 2005): We had started our journey from Puchong at about 11.30 am. Then, we used the North South Highway and exit Simpang Pulai. I had not taken this route before and my friend told me that this Simpang Pulai Route is a safer route but more time consuming. As it was raining and the road towards Brinchang and Tanah Rata was congested, we took around 4 1/2 hours to reach Strawberry Park Resort.
We then took a rest and a bath before we went to Jim Terrance Restaurant in Strawberry Park. We took buffet (A combination of Local and Western delicacies). We were too full and we decided to go to Pasar Malam in Brinchang town for a walk. It was quite crowded considering it was a Saturday night. We bought a few things; some key chains, fried mushrooms, lily and a packet of strawberry. We then went back to the hotel and Teresa made the flower decoration. She did a splendid job! I then gave a nice massage to Teresa and we went to sleep at about 12.30 am.
Day # 2 (5th Nov 2005): We woke up at about 9 am and we drove to look for T-Cafe. We wanted to have some cream scone and apple pie. We went to look for it and after several attempts; we found out that T-Cafe is located on top of Mary Brown in Tanah Rata. When we reached there, unfortunately, the cafe was not opened till 11 am.
Without much hesitation, we went for a walk at a nearby park. Coincidentally, we saw signboard pointing towards Parit Falls. We had planned to do jungle trekking to Parit Falls tomorrow, but we had decided we might as will do it there and then. It took us quite some time before we reached the Watching Tower. We enjoyed the view there.
After that, we went back to T-Cafe and we ordered cream scone with Valina Ice cream, apple pie, potato salad, local salad, mix vege soup, spaghetti, strawberry lassi and mango lassi. It took us some efforts to finish the food; however, we still did not manage to do that.
We were initially decided to take a Countryside Tour to go and visit those strawberry farms, flower farms, etc. but we did not make it. Instead we took some rests in the room before heading to Bahrat Tea Plantation. We bought some tea and had some drinks as well before heading to Sam Poh Buddist Temple. It was nice to have finally found the temple after some time. Teresa was feeling comfortable and easy there.
After that, we went back to hotel, watched TV and took bath before went for Sukiyaki steamboat at Thai Restaurant in Strawberry park Resort. We had ordered some much food and we did not finish as well. We then wanted to find a place where we can enjoy the view of Brinchang. The staff of Strawberry Park told us about two places and we managed to find the one near to Palace which was suitable. We spent about 1 hour there and I had my best time there and I felt like I was the happiest man then. We went back to hotel and slept at about 12 am.
Day # 3 (6th Nov 2005): We woke up at about 8 am and we checked out soon after that. Then, we took our breakfast at one of the restaurants in Brinchang town. I took a plate of curry chicken mee and chicken feet with mushrooms while Teresa took Continental breakfast. I quite like the place as it offers many varieties of food.
We then went to Multicrops marketplace and we bought some stuffs over there; snacks, honey, strawberry jam and two nice cups. After that, we went to made some cash withdrawal from Public Bank before went to KEA farm. We bought strawberry, potatoes, vegetables and strawberry juice. We even tried plucking the strawberry on our own. We managed to pluck about 450 gm of strawberry. What an experience!
We got to say Goodbye to Cameron Highlands by 10.20 am. There were many places which we had yet to visit. But since our reason to visit Cameron Highlands was to relax ourselves, we had already accomplished our mission. We will go there again sometime early next year to buy some plants for Teresa’s new home and to visit those places which we did not cover this trip. It was a wonderful trip and I want to thank Teresa for your companion and the ‘good news’. You are my wonderful girlfriend…
