planning a trip - 2008/08/21 16:55 Hi there, just starting to plan a trip to Malaysia in March next year and thought I'd pick the brains of what looks like a lot of experienced travellers on this forum I plan to fly to KL then travel by bus to Cameron Highlands..how long approx. is that journey on an express bus? I am hoping to stay at Fathers and do one of thier tours. I would also like to do some exploring without being part of a tour...is that possible or not advisable/easy to get lost? After a few days in CH I plan to travel to Pangkor.... a travel agent told me this is not possible without going back to KL...I am not convinced...has anyone done this trip? was it difficult and did it take a long time? ok. last question... I am vegetarian.. will I be regarded as from another planet or able to get some veggie choices some place?!! Thanks in advance. Heather

Re:planning a trip - 2008/08/22 04:11 There is probably no direct bus from CH to Lumut (where u will take the ferry to Pangkor). U have to switch buses in Ipoh (the state capital), which is located somewhere in between anyway.

Take the Kinta Omnibus, from CH to Ipoh.

At the Ipoh bus terminal, there is one service to Lumut (not sure of the number). You got to ask around.
