Online booking is best when you are immediately acknowledge of date, type of room, availability, rate and total amount to pay by online credit card. With a click, if agreeable, your payment is entered and room confirmed. You don't have to worry about anything. Online bookings like this, for a good example is booking online at Cititel (if they only had a hotel in CH) or Genting. Other kinds of online bookings are outdated where they will confirm you the next working day or when they refer to your online enquiry (email) and feedback another time/day which is wasting time and uncertain. If they never replied, you will be waiting eternity.

Re:Hotel Chua Gin (Brinchang) - 2007/07/20 22:43
Just came back from two nights at Chua Gin. Stayed at Block A. It was a big mistake. Couldn't sleep for the two nights, as it was really noisy - people slamming car doors, closing their shop doors, car alarms going off. Sounds really carry through the night. One of the room which we got faced the alley. It was really full of unpleasant smells, and we couldn't even open the window. Room is very very small. One night ( being a public holiday weekend, we were told ) costs slightly more than two times the rate of the first night. For that rate, I would have preferred to stay in a better place like Century Pines.

That's why nowadays a lot of people are choosing all the new inns or lodging at Bandar Baru Brinchang. It is only slightly higher and beside Brinchang old town. Although these loding are simple but at least they are very new. quiet and clean. All the beds and room facilities are new and nice. At the same time, most of the units comes with TV and few ASTRO channels too. But you must spend a bit of effort to look for it by yourself when you reach Brinchang because most of the new lodgings or motel at Bandar Baru Brinchang are not even on mass media advertising yet.

Yes, it is very true that a lot of new and affordable new lodgings are coming up in Bandar Baru Brinchang (which is by walking distance from Brinchang old town, very near, but a bit tiresome since a bit of uphill walk will take place). One of these new lodgings I used to stay is the Tudor Home Inn in Bandar Baru Brinchang corner shop lot. I went there during non-peak period (it was Wednesday, no school or public holidays), it was only RM50 per night for two persons per room with TV and some ASTRO channels. The staff are quite nice and you can visit all the rooms until your heart content before you rent the room. And there are quite a few new F&B outlets or restaurants are coming up around the inn and they are quite nice either.

Hi, from the website you gave, there's apparently a negative review. So thought of sharing with everyone here.
JBruby The housekeeping used their master key to clean our room and shifted all our unpacked belongings to another room due to a miscommunication between the reception and their own staff. They put all our things together - dry, clean and dirty things together - causing our clothes and bags to get dirtied.
One of my friend left her handphone on the bed thinking the room is safe but we cannot find it after the room shift. The hotel insisted that their staff was innocent and never stole anything. If they found something, they will give it to the Reception for guests to claim back.
We made a police report and the police came down for an investigation. After much grilling, the chamber maid confessed to stealing the phone and returned it to us.
Through it all, the management were not helpful at all and even insinuated that one of us could have stolen the phone. The owner of the hotel never apologise to us not made any reparations for the great inconvenience caused.
Btw, the hot water in the rooms is only lukewarm and most of the double rooms does not have windows. We are very disappointed with this thus making an effort to tell people to think twice before staying there.
If you need any verifications, we can show you the police report that was made.
Date of stay: 2008 May

Re:Hotel Chua Gin (Brinchang) - 2008/06/02 21:52
I've just came back from the Cameron. OK some review on the room that I've just stayed in Chua Gin Hotel;
A room of 1 double bed + 1 single bed: RM128nett
1. Clean - but only on surface, try move the bed, i've found tissue n some dirt under it. Bathroom was clean too don't worry.. 2. Have TV - unclear RTM1, RTM2 & Star Movie only 3. Have kettle - but it was not working 4. Have hot water - hot in the morning turned cold at nite, water slightly turned to yellowish.. 5. Have 1 soap 6. No complementary of mineral water, coffee/tea nor breakfast 7. No towel 8. No air-conditioner, fan nor heater 9. Mattress/pillow.. for me a bit uncomfortable..
It was a worth staying thou just for a sleep and to clean up yourself. It's a budget hotel and can't ask for more. Anyway just get up early on the next day, get a cheap breakfast from the mamak or makcik's stall, and enjoy the parks, garden walk or even the jungle tracking. Come back at nite, freshen up, sleep and check out early on the next day.
p/s: not recommended for those who with high demand of 5/4 star hotel, like me ouch!
