Re:Weather & Road Condition - 2007/12/07 10:38
Usually for the month of December, Cameron Highlands should have more rain than usual due to northeast monsoon wind from the East Coast. But sometimes due to global warming and other factor like El Niņo, the raining pattern can be disrupted or changed drastically. But for this year, the raining pattern in Cameron Highlands for the month of December looks normal, which is a bit more rain than usual (highlands area is always raining whether is rainy season or not). Talking about temperature, it depends on which part of Cameron Highlands that you are staying, ironically Tanah Rata is a bit cooler than Brinchang although Tanah Rata town is a bit lower than Brinchang. This is due to the micro environment factor that influence the air pressure and wind factor that cause this phenomena. But if you really want a very cool weather, you'd better stay at Kea Farm area like Equatorial Hotel and Resorts in Kea Farm Cameron Highlands. Kea Farm is much higher in altitude compare to Ringlet, Tanah Rata adn Brinchang. On average, Kea Farm area is a bit cooler than these town areas especially night time. Temperature wise, in the month of December, Cameron Highlands is enjoying 21ēC-25ēC around daytime and 13ēC-16ēC during night time, but sometimes strong wind might make you feel cooler than the actual temperature, so please bring along a light jumper (jacket). Have a nice trip to Cameron Highlands.
