A good place for holiday in Malaysia! - 2007/09/16 14:47
I just went to CH this week and I wrote a very long blog to share my experience in other site. Enjoy reading if you have time and hope it might help if you are looking for some particular information.

In short....CH is still a good place for a retreat/holiday contrary to what some may say about it.
Though Genting Highland and Cameron Highland are both common attraction in Malaysia which is popular with their cold wheather and located above the highland, I would prefer CH as my choice of holiday break.
I will definately plan another trip there.

Was planning a trip there but dunno which is the best and reasonable place 2 stay 4 the nite...

Hi BL,
I was there for only 2 nights but I choose different accommodation for each night.
Night 1
Kavy Hotel, Tanah Rata
Price: MYR65/nett per room for 2 person not including breakfast.
Pros: Attach bathroom with hot shower, Located at the centre of the town, bath tub, tv, mirror, water boiler, floor with carpet, power plug
Cons: It happen that the shower heater does not function well, may need to bring along mosquito repellent
In short: There is nothing less except some cons. Consider it as a budget hotel, nothing much you should complaint.
Night 2
Century Pine Resort, Tanah Rata
Price: MYR253/nett per room for 2 person including breakfast.
Pros: Attach bathroom with hot shower, Located within the town, bath tub, tv, dvd player, mirror, water boiler, complementary coffee/tea sachets, mini fridge, slippers, safe deposit box, hair dryer, newspaper, power plug, clean and nicely decorated room, mirror, balcony, mosquito repellent, etc
Cons: Price is slightly expensive to me. A bit let down by the breakfast
In short: A good place to stay considering the price tag you have to pay. There might be other hotel with this standard but with better offer.
You can browse further the website of cameron highland under the accommodation section to get more info before you decide further.
Choosing the accommodation is also depends on what is your preference and priority. Example if you want to stay nearer to the tourist attraction place, maybe you would like to consider Equatorial Resort or other hotels located in Brinchang town. Budget hotel is good if you are only looking for a place to stay without much demand.

The price provided are only for reference. It may varies from time to time depending on the season and hotel operator's dicretion.
