Equatorial VS Strawberry Park - 2007/09/05 15:28 As from the subject, i cant decide which hotel to stay, since both offer almost the same rate. I planned to spend a night with my fiancee on this coming 15th Sept(Saturday).

I checked thru the forum and the last thread posted on the comparison of both hotels was way back in year 2004.

I am driving therefore distance between towns and the hotels are not a major problem for me.

Really appreciate if anyone could help. Thanx!!

Re:Equatorial VS Strawberry Park - 2007/09/05 16:51 Just been there 2-3 mths agao. You should take Equatorial hotel. Their rooms are better. Strawberry are a bit old now. And they have F&B rebats.

Re:Equatorial VS Strawberry Park - 2007/09/06 12:03 Kenny, everyone will have their personal preference over both these hotels. Personally, you will not be wrong with either of these hotels.

If you want one with more attractions, than go for EQ. Most of the attractions (not really a lot of it) can be found around this hotel and within walking distance.

If you want one with a quiet ambience, than try SB (but will depend on your neighbours). I do like SB.

But with only a night in CH, you don't have much time to explore. With this in mind, than I suggest you choose EQ over SB.

Re:Equatorial VS Strawberry Park - 2008/09/14 20:06 hi there, i was interested in staying at Strawberry Park Resort, but it seems like many people say it is very out of way and far from the town area. As I do not know much about Cameron Highlands, would anyone care to enlighten me about Tanah Rata and Brinchang TOwns? I heard that the coach from Singapore will stop in Tanah Rata and Strawberry Park is in Tanah Rata. But apparently it is far from the town still and must drive or take a taxi to the resort.

As for Brinchang Town, is there more to do or see here? I thought Tanah Rata was the main town, hence the buses stop here.

Re:Equatorial VS Strawberry Park - 2008/09/16 09:46 1. Yes, SPR is in a remote part of CH but that is where its charms is. Will be of a great inconvenience if you don't have your own transport. To move around, you got to take a cab or the SPR vans. Not practical to walk there, with your luggages.

2. Both Brinchang and Tanah Rata are very small towns, which can be covered in less the 20 minutes of walking.

3. Go print out the map of CH and plot the attractions places. I think it will give you a rough impression on where most of the attractions are located and where is the nearest town.
