I totally have no idea which strawberry farm it was. But I think what Andrew mentioned seems right.

We were shuttled from place to place and the whole place was very crowded. Maybe due to the festive season.. but still..

Bad experience for me. Don't wanna go back there. Even genting seems better.

We had no probs wif transport as we went on tours. it was those half/full day tours that u can go it it's ur first time there. They provide you with transport, and bring you to many attractions too. Went to the plantation without any problems, went for a trek in the mossy forest, and also the cactus valley. The service were great!

had an enjoyable time there. it was really really really really FUN. so i was a little amazed when u said that it was not wad u expected it to be..

- At the entrance to Equatorial Hotel is EQ Strawberry Farm. Self plucking with strict conditions. I think it was RM20 deposit with self plucking of having to pluck minimum RM20 at RM40/kg. It is not possible to eat some ‘sample’ while plucking (like free sample at KHM but no self plucking). At EQ, a worker will follow you in while you pluck. The farm is fenced up and sheltered.

Totally not what I expected. I'd rather go Aussie and pluck strawberries, tayberries, and all the other berries. They let you go in & you explore the whole farm at your own free time.

as for iCY, glad to hear that you had an enjoyable time. i guess for that kind of enjoyment, you gotta have $$ in the first place. good service = $$$. Also, I assume the period you went was non-peak.

We'll be visiting CH next month & will be doing self-drive from KL Airport to CH via the new Simpang Pulai Highway. Anyone knows if there's any logical stops along the way where we can take a break.. esp. toilet? Cos it's quite a long journey.. abt 3.5-4hrs drive away.

Also, which strawberry farm allows picking without any restrictions.. i.e own time own target? And do we have to pay for picking first or do they charge us based on how much we pick?

 Re:First Experience at Cameron Highlands - 2007/07/12 13:43 Can only remember one Icedrops. It was from the Rose Valley going towards Brinchang. The farm is located at a steep slope where you have to drive down. Can't remember the name though.

Only pay for what you yourself picked.
