My Recent Trip to CH - 2006/08/18 18:49 First impression when climbing up the hill with my 3 years old car;;;---Challenging!!!
But, you will never regret as you will see the green hill view later!!! Excellent!!! (Although my car accidentally knock the Petronas pump station tile at Ringgit, after a "long hour and stressfull drive" to CH.
Check in into Century Pine hotel, nice hotel, no air cond (of course, else we will be frozen). If you plan to have steam boat for your lunch or dinner, try to have it at Tanah Rata as it is cheaper (RM 12/head, more food) compare to Bringchang (RM18/head, and less food).
For shopping on vegetable, go to Kea Farm, you may be able to get 15 small packs of vege for RM10, compare to Pasar Malam at CH (we bought 3 pack for RM5).
Try to eat the corn raw, it is sweet.
Flowers and vege is very cheap.
Before leaving, plan to go to Boh Tea farm, but makesure don't go on Monday (we are the unfortunate one becoz we went on Monday), it is close on Monday. However, you still can go to Cameron Valley and observe the green colour tea plantation.
For those who want to run away from the "heavy duty city life", Cameron is a good place to relax your mind and of course body. Not much outdoor game, just a place to relax.
When you come down, you may take the Simpang Pulai road (about 51km from Blue Valley), and once you are at the Simpang Pulai, you will be just 9km away from Ipoh town. Then have a afternoon tea at Ipoh, drive down to the South and back home.
Good Luck!
