Re:climate - 2004/08/18 09:53 HUMANs...we're all humans...development without REALLY thinking of the enviroment impact....then when tragic happens, we blame this, blame that, yes...even blame the GOD (nature disaster...) I believe many of us had watched the movie A DAY AFTER TOMORROW....do u think humans can only learn their lesson when NATURE FIGHTS BACK upon us, just like the movie?

It's true that CLEANESS, WEATHER & MANAGEMENT in CH is different from 10-20 years ago...everybody know that...

Re:climate - 2004/10/12 15:29 I remember 20 years ago, the town gardens in Tanah Rata gets misty and cold as early as 5-6pm. Now like what WC said, can go around in Tshirts and shorts. (Maybe we are 'healthier' with more body fats compared to what we were and the living conditions of yesterday)

Anyway, 17-18 deg celsius was what I experienced in CH in 2002. The locals were saying the few days were freak temperatures as it was rainy (July). The night temps were about 15-16 deg celsius. Love it! I wonder what happens if average temps were to go lower, like 14-15 deg celsius daytime and 10-12 deg celsius night time. Actually, I prefer a wide temp swing like 24-26 deg day and 10-12 deg night.. at least during the day got some heat!

Re:climate - 2004/10/14 18:29 hard to recover back on what we've done against mother nature...dun expect 'misty and cold' like those days...but i really dunno whether thing will get worse than what we have now....think about it...for the sake of our next generations and many generations to come...

Re:climate - 2005/02/27 11:01 I think I will be staying in either Equatorial or Strawberry Park. Global warming is global in the real sense of the word. I just think CH needs to take special care of not sacrificing too much of their forest in favour of real estate and industrial development. Just look at what happens in Indonesia.

What you describe sounds pleasant in terms of temperature. I will be scheduled in May. What clothes do I need? I lived in Europe for some time, so I think at night and in the morning gym pants or jeans along with jumper and jeans jacket will do. Maybe I should have a rain coat and umbrella in my luggage. I lived in Brunei as a child and learnt Malay there at school. Otherwise I grew up as a Mat Saleh and hope you guyz will allow me to participate. Otherwise I love Malaysia, have been to Genting and KL.

Re:climate - 2005/02/27 12:09 Hi Christine,

If you lived in Europe you will find the climate in Cameron Highlands is most pleasant, what you need is just a light jacket to walk around in the afternoons and jeans will do fine if you are going jogging in the mornings then a track suit will do, if you are going for jungle walks then a raincoat will be appropriate not an umbrella the weather in CH is unpredictable just like a woman haha!!

Equatorial and Strawberry Park are good choices the staffs are service orientated so not much hassle on service, get yourself a map if you want to venture by yourself.

Cheers and have a pleasant stay in Cameron Highlands

Re:climate - 2005/05/02 03:14 Just back from CH today. It was a good and lovely trip from Spg Pulai to Gua Musang-Kg Raja Exit where we can see a lovely scenery. However, once entered the Kg Raja area, the lovely scenery has changed to bad one. No wonder people say that the cool weather in CH is nothing, thanks for the greediness of the humans. Our mother nature will cry and we will suffer....
