Re:NATIONAL PARK - 2007/05/28 18:18 After further consideration, I am of the above opinion that catergorisation in any classes is useless if 1 party can re-catergorize anything within their whim and fancy.

Furthermore, we touch about sustainable developement. What exactly does this words means and would the authorities really know what is required to be done on this topic about sustainable development? I would love to hear some good answers about this.

Like all things in life, rescources is scarce and if inefficient utilization of rescources is the game at the end of the day, please dont even think about sustainable development. Perhaps these words are used to blurr one's vision. Keep your eyes on the ball, is the name of the game!

Cheers

Re:NATIONAL PARK - 2007/05/29 19:01 As long as certain people can make lots on money in a short time approving projects and turning an blind eye on the destruction thats goin on there, nothing will change.

Sustainable development wont work as it only benefits the people in the long term but not the pockets of certain people.

People will only take notice when something big happens and its in the news. After a while everything is quiet till the next cycle begins. Sadly this is our Malaysian culture in and happens in everything from natural resources to how we build buildings. Our country is heading for destruction but a lot of people are blinded by the "shows" by the big guns.

Will this change?
