Iris House Hotel - Review - 2004/04/13 23:03
Just came back from CH on Sunday evening after spending 3 days there. As in my previous post, we made reservations at Iris House Hotel after some difficulties in getting accommodation.
We encountered problems the moment we arrived at the hotel. I had made reservation over the phone with them and received a fax confirmation of my booking. On arrival, to our horrific surprise, they did not reserve any rooms for us, and do not have any more superior rooms (what we reserved). A heated argument arises when the reception couldn;t solve our problem.
We insisted that we see their manager, who was not in, and we waited for an hour. After much words and our demand that they honour their contract, we were put up in Deluxe rooms without any additional costs.
I must say that their service standards left much to be desired and certainly could be better.
However, we were pleased to find out that the rooms are fairly big, well maintain and clean.
Overall, service standard aside, the hotel is quite ok.
