Strawberry Park - 2004/04/01 16:06 Have never been to CH and was planning to stay at Bala's during June school hols but am now skeptical after reading all the previous postings. Am trying to keep an open mind though.

Can anyone pls let me know their recent experiences at the Strawberry Park since it's now been renovated (fully). All the stuff I've read abt this place is rather old so conditions may have improved.

Also since I have 3 hyper kids (10 thru 13 yrs) who'll want to do all the usual trekking, farm visits, etc, so perhaps Strawberry Park may be a better location as a starting point for activities.

Thanks.

Hi Aida,

It's only normal before you go to a place you might want to read about it, well you can get all the info from this webby--- http://www.strawberryparkresorts.com/

Getting around in CH is not a big deal or a probelm if you have wheels no matter where your hotel is located, it takes only a few minutes to Tanah Rata or Brinchang, when you reach CH get yourself a map all the attractions are all there,it's a matter of finding which road to take, actually it will be more fun finding all these places yourself than going on a guided tour, guided tour are all time constraint. The roads in CH are narrow so do becareful

For jungle trekking, mountain hiking i would suggest you hire a guide, the hotel concern will be able to arrange that for you. For beginners you might want to try Parit falls and Robinson's falls it's listed on the map and you don't actually need a guide for this one. To be frank School Holidays is not the best time to go, but sometimes you left without a choice, another thing is that you got to make your hotel reservations early because most hotel will be full during this time.

Cheer and wish you a plesant stay in CH
