Strawberrypark vs Smokehouse - 2003/05/11 02:38We are looking for an exclusiive vacation with two small kids. Which might be the best option for us - The Smokehouse, Strawberrypark, or equatorial?

The Smokehouse is very exclusive but very far away from everything. The Strawberry Park is okay but the last time we stayed at Equatorial, we had a great time. The facilities are marvelous for families and are within walking distance to a lot of places of interest.

I have read some feedback saying that maintenance was quite poor - smelly sheets, carpet etc. Otherwise I have heard that views are great. But since we will have two small kids we wanted to make sure that we have proper hygine. thanks though...

The last time I stayed was just about 40 days ago and I was in the two bedroom apartment which has been renovated with wooden floor. My understanding is that they have fully renovated all the apartments.
It was nice and clean and we were very pleased with our stay. My kids enjoyed themselves thoroughly at the Equatorial Hill Resorts.
Re: Strawberrypark vs Smokehouse - 2003/05/15 03:41If cost is not an issue, try the Smokehouse. It's one of the few English Tudor houses in the tropics. You will enjoy the "cottage" ambience. The Equatorial, Strawberry Park, etc won't give you that English nostalgia. But, don't expect modern facilities at the Smokehouse.
