1st time to CH: Package tours or DIY? - 2008/06/30 23:03 Hi, I am thinking of going to CH for the 1st time with my family. Will it be hard to find hotels to stay in once we reach there if we chose to buy coach tickets and go there straight away? Or will going on tour package from travel agencies be better?

Thanks in advance for your kind opinions.

Re:1st time to CH: Package tours or DIY? - 2008/07/01 11:33 Best is to make reservation for the accomodation to ensure you have a confirm booking. There's more than adequate information here to assist you in planning your own tour in Cameron.

Don't think you really need a travel agent but in any case, there will be several tour agents in Cameron that you could go to.

But first is to book your accomodation.

Re:1st time to CH: Package tours or DIY? - 2008/07/01 11:46 Although you don't need a travel agent, but you'd better book extremely early to get a decent room during super peak period like Labour Day, Merdeka Day, CNY, Hari Raya Aidilfitril and even school holidays. Even normal weekend also requires you to book the room earlier in oder to get a room at some decent hotels. Have a nice trip in Cameron Highlands!

Re:1st time to CH: Package tours or DIY? - 2008/07/01 23:00 Most of the hotels like to exaggerate their occupancy, i.e; Equatorial. I was told it's peak season last week and that most of the rooms are booked. I made a few peeps(i'm not a peeping Tom, mind you) to the other rooms(on the balcony)and i couldn't even find ten rooms with the lights on!

You shouldn't have any problem if you're driving up to CH yourself. The sign boards are quite helpful, unlike the misleading ones in KL.

So they switch-off their lights..... while they exercise....

Re:1st time to CH: Package tours or DIY? - 2008/07/03 18:30 Yoga exercise? For a couple? What's more, almost 80% of the couples staying in EQ doing that kind of exercise and AT THE SAME TIME? Unbelievable!

If i'm not mistaken..you're a middle aged person, right?(referring to SinChee). Well, all that i can say is you're fun to talk to. ^^

Err...In two years time, I can official use the "Century" term.... Half-a-Century, I mean...

Don't know this is something to look forward to or a time to rejoice or be sad...
