Just came back from a holiday in CH. My family and I stayed at Bala's for 2 nights in the Family suite for 5 ppl. I paid RM 280 on Thursday and RM300 on Friday, which is quite reasonable compared to the other hotels on the highlands.
The best part of Bala's is the general atmosphere. It is very cosy and homey.
However, the breakfast is very expensive for what you actually get eg. coffee/tea is RM8 a cup! Though it is refillable, but who can drink more than 2? Since it is close to the town, having breakfast, lunch, dinner it is better there than at the hotel.
Overall, my family and I had a great time staying there. The staff is very good and the owner was always there to answer our questions.
