highlander Up to Gunung Brinchang in that chilly, mistly& total pitch darkness ...?? and alone ..all the best ...
chief Welcome to Malaysia!

Hope you have a great time in Cameron Highlands. Since your're there during the weekdays, you will get to enjoy some peace and quiet up there.

Btw, if you're heading up to Gunung Brinchang, try to make for the sunrise!

christine Just to let you know that I arrived in KL at 5.45 this morning. I had a good sleep in the plane which was pretty unusual for me. But this time my neighbours were quiet, the service from Malaysia Airlines superb as always.

I have some business here to do and at the moment stay at Swiss Garden HOtel, just a stone's throw from PUduraya. Very excited, can't wait until MOnday the 9th May when I leave Puduraya at 1.30 pm for CH. Hopefully Kurnia Bistari will give me a seat as far forward as possible because I easly develop motion sickness. I'll bring some plastic bags and a few pieces of gingers, I had great success with these. HOwever, I can't stay for a few weeks as planned but only be there for 11/2 week. The story about JIm Thompson and Jalan Kamunting really touched my heart and I borrowed the book from KL State Library. This and Gunung Brinchang will be the first tours I will start. Also looking forward to a good steamboat after reading the thread about the 5 best eateries in CH. I can't find my thread anymore but will continue to write up my experience beginning with my bus trip
