Hi all... i just have some questions here, hope u guys can help me. i plan to go CH on 6 sept 2008.
1) i plan to book a room at twin pines at tanah rata, is it nice there? any problem?
I was undecided between twinpine and Kang's/Daniel Traveller Hotel. But..later opt for Kang's for a two day stay. A budget of RM 55 per night with hot water, bath tube and comfy room.
2) is it possible to ask any person in CH to help me purchase or book the bus ticket from CH to KL b4 i go?
No worries..da bus station is in Tanah Rata. you can walk there and buy your ticket. If i am not wrong..there is only bus company (Kurnia Bestari)going back to KL.
3) if i live at twin pines in tanah rata, it's near to bus station, if i wish to go to brinchang, how long a bus will available? 30 minutes? if i take cab, how much it cost me to go to brinchang?
Twinpines is very close to da station. Going to Brinchang by bus is hopeless. Unless you are willing to wait...wait and wait..............I am so piss with da Regal bus service to Brinchang. Have to say...during my two days stay at Tanah Rata...not even one bus is visible. There is a taxi station located close to the bus station. You can see lots of taxi drivers waiting for customer. The taxi station is an old dilapidated and unused petrol station. Going to Brinchang using taxis will cost u a BOMB. Morning and evening taxi fares to Brinchang is not the same Morning to afternoon, they charge a flat rate of RM 8 to RM10. Night time...expensive. BTW its just a 2 - 2.5km ride only. My advice is...DO NOT TRAVEL to CH without your own mode of transportation.
4) if i walk around some attraction place in cameron around brinchang, is it possible? will it very far? i can't estimate the range with only the map.
It depend on ur preffered location. Going to BOH tea plantation at Sg. Palas...you need a taxi. Most tourist have their own car or book a half to full day tour. All these veggies and strawberry farm r within reach. You can download a comprehensive map CH (including Tanah Rata and Brinchang) in this website.
5) if i wan to go to a tea plantation, which 1 is better? how can i go? as i know it's far and hard to go by just walking.
BOH Tea plantation and Visitor Centre @ Sg. Palas is simply amazing!!!!

1. Acceptable, I am very comfortable with it. It depends on your expectation. But they don't have much of a view of the surrounding area.
2. No comment. Most of the time, I book it when I reached CH. The morning timing is more popular than the rest. Sunday lot is also popular.
3. Less than your 30mins estimate. But do note the bus timing. Check the Destination Guide section for the timing.
4. You got to elaborate further on the spot/s you're looking at. I know Cactus Valley and the temple is within walking distance (Brinchang).
5. Either SP Boh Tea or Bharat Tea plantation. Suggest you try the first option. It is a distance, but I've walk numerous times before. I don't have a schedule to keep, so really take my sweet, sweet time walking there. Some said they take 30-45mins walking to that location. On a normal pace, personally, I don't think you will touch 45mins. But if you're not sure, than take a cab. I took three hours but that is because I took alot of time taking photos. And rest alot, also. |
