Personally, I feel the damaged have been done, already. The culprit may not be just only suria and this Uncle Sam's Farm. In general, most of them are charging way higher than what they should be. Somehow CH has lost a lot of its charms, if you want to compare it with 20 years ago. No more slow and sedate kind of lifestyle.
Now, if you go to Tanah Rata or Brinchang. You don't enjoy that feeling of a farming community and the natural beautification CH used to have. It is too commercialise for my liking. The whole landscapes have been spoilt by the man-made projects. |

That's what I'm trying to say. Outlet like Suria Restaurant and Uncle Sam's Farm will nonetheless destroy or tarnish the tourism reputation of Cameron Highlands if the local authority or tourism board of Malaysia don't want to do something about it. It is only a matter of time Cameron Highlands turn out to be a conman paradise "GLOBALLY" if this kind of situation left rotten after all these complaints are not entertain by the local authority or Tourism Board of Malysia. Let's just sit back and watch this GREAT soap opera!!! C'est la vie!  |

Hi Jessica, don't trust these people they are a bunch of hard sellers. It's not just flowers that they cheated, my experience were 400 grams of strawberry but marked 500 gms. Another case was 500gms with leaves below and between the strawbwerry, after removing the leaves the strawberry is about 350gms with the plastic pack.
So u need to check their packings. U may find same size packing at different prices, the cheaper one will have lots of wet leaves in between. U don't bother what they try to push, check and buy what u want only. Now I always buy those strawberry without leaves. Their reason is that the leaves are meant for cushioning the strawberry. |

Had recently went to CH on the past weekend on 3-4th May 2008. Went all the way up with my friends and are quite happy for the entire trip and scenery accept that the business man / women up there.
Not much honestly that you can get from them.
Most of the seller will make up some fake stories in order for them to sell their stuff.
Bought a particular flower from an aunty
(CONMAN) in Uncle Sam's Farm (located at Multicrops Central Market).
The stall is just near to the entrance of Uncle Sam's farm where you walk in just a few steps into the farm there's a few stall situated on your right hand side. Where one of it will be selling some fried mushroom / fried vegetables.
That stall even sell some flowers.
Eventually bought the flowers from them.
They even said that the flowers are called dried flowers and will not need any water when you place it in a vase. It will even last about a year as it is kind of like dried type / plastic type.
Bought it back and put it into a vase.
Can't even last for a day and the flowers started to be in a "sleeping mode". (Images below). Furthermore, the flowers are packed nicely but when you open it up you can see that only a single stalk will be a long one and the rest is just a short stalk. A wrapping gimmick to con on customers.
Kind of frustrated with their way of doing business. The authority up there is not doing their job i guess. There are lots of worldwide tourist coming up there to CH and this things keep happening and CH will be quite famous worldwide for conman activities i guess.
So have to beware for the new timer like me when you're up at CH. Beware and not to buy much stuff up there and everyone should boikot or blacklist seller's in Uncle Sam's Farm!
