Am also planning to buy a house in CH, I love CH very much! If there is a chance for me, I wish that I can spend the whole of my life in CH.

I went to CH last week and saw lot of lands for sale. But I am sure that those price will be very higher. My fren as an architect told me that if want to build a house especially in CH, the price is about RM1.0M. i cant afford!

Therefore, am planning to visit CH once in a year. If there is a chance for me, maybe i wil find a temporary job in CH if there any vacancy! haha!

Hi Harry, You said you saw lots of land for sale. Can you share with us whether you went through a property agent and who's the property agent? I'm still looking for a piece of land in Cameron, after many years.
Nancy Don't bother with this. Overprice and what's more, the house is in ringlet. You can get new double-storey terraced houses in Tanah Rate from LBS Bina for RM300,000+.
Ivan I believe so, when Malaysia population is getting larger and approaching national target of 70 million people, even East Malaysia highlands might be explored and developed into highlands city in Southeast Asia like Chiang Mai, Bandung or Baguio. Highlands areas in West Malaysia are not big enough and too rugged to become a well planned city compare to highlands in East Malaysia, namely like Kelabit Highlands. Kelabit Highlands has a lot of flat wide lands and comes with various altitude from 1000m - 2000m. So folks, maybe in the future we can get cheaper highlands houses in Malaysia. Who knows?
Jeffrey But Petaling Jaya is REALLY one of the most prominent areas in Malaysia not just within Selangor. Not many areas in Malaysia are prominent too. Besides, there are tonnes of highlands in East Malaysia than West Malaysia, literally tonnes of unexplored highlands. Wait till these highlands managed to develope in the future and we shall see what kind of excuses Cameron Highlands houseowners will give. Have a nice trip in Cameron Highlands!
Hashim Amin Jeff, I copy and paste this information from another website, for your info. I know the price is high but put yourself in his/her shoes, the owner. I believe the price is negotiable yet I doubt the price will not go lesser than RM300K. Bear in mind, you dont have the green and highland scenery and freshness of air in Petaling Jaya or Kajang compared to Cameron Highland. It's 'priceless'... If you ( and the rest of course...) have that sort of money in your pocket than this will not be an issue...
Jeffrey One storey TERRACED house around 1185 sq ft. RM390,000??? My God!!! Some kind of daylight robbing?? Even a single storey terrace house with that size in the middle of Petaling Jaya city centre, Selangor is only around RM190,000 and some new housing projects around Shah Alam or Subang Jaya and Kajang only sold for approximately RM95,000 per unit. Is the house coated with gold and pearl poweder or silver??? I think the houseowners in Cameron Highlands are as greedy as its farmers, F&B operators, accomodation operators and even tour operators. They are nothing but a bunch of utmost greedy human pigs!!! If they die or facing tragedy, no need to sympathise them AT ALL!
