Hi Andrew, I do recall there were some one mentioning the con-shop. But I actually forgot the name. Now I remember forever...though sounds wonderful as Silver star but they behave more like Dark clouds Restaurant. lesson learnt for me.. worse of all is that this restaurant is always full, despite all that happen, some people get it some people dont.. I suppose. Let's not get angry over that but main thing is to warn all about it. I will keep posting this message in various timing so that readers at different timing will get to see this topic. despite that stupid steam boat I still have a good time picking strawberries and had lots of fresh air to de-tox the angry from that stupid Star. any way, all to take care. THanks andrew for sharing with us in the forum... |

I agree with you.I had tried the steamboat at the restaurant at Country Lodge Apartment. RM18 per pax and no complaints. |

I can't help wondering why Country Lodge Restaurant always gets left out when it comes to steamboat meals? They've opened up a new outlet right opposite of the Shell Gas Station in Brinchang town and as redundant as it sounds(I've commented on it numerous times in other threads), they provide you with a huge variety of food items and one will never walk out not feeling satisfied, portion and taste wise.
SO guys, give it a try and remember to thank me if you like it
P/S: Stemboat meal for two will cost RM18 each, just like any other restaurants, you are free to opt for two types of soup instead of one.And they won't charge you for it. One more thing, the service was excellent and I was amazed by how fast the waiters responded to my requests, e.g: soup refilling etc. |

Hi Tin tin, you must have missed our forum for quite sometime. About a couple of months ago we did warn all CH lovers about this restaurant (Silver Star)and their practices.
Next time when u go try "O.K.Tuck" the quantity & quality of food is good. It is opposite Silver star, a few doors away from Jasmine Hotel. They charge Rm 18 per adult. The lady boss not so friendly but her staff's service are good. |

CON SHOP RESTAURANT SILVERSTAR ( next to hotel Chua Gin)
I was told in the morning at the Silver star by a gentle looking man, the steam boat meat no buffet, vegetable buffet $30 for 2 pax. (they only give chicken and egg and 3 small prawns, other shop give much more variety)
at the end, when I came and ate in the pm, I had to pay extra $0.5 for a cup of water, $1 for rice and $6 for about 10 pc of mush room all in I pay extra $8, when I asked them about the buffet vegetable, the tau ke nio said, no such thing, so I was looking for the guy who told me in the morning, but I could not find him. At the same time the minute when we said we dont want to order any more food, the waiter started to clear the table while we are ststill eating just because we are not going to order any more food. so we are being chased out in thhat sense.
so cut the long story short, stay away from Restaurant Silver star (right at the Brinchang Town), when I came back, my sister had similar experience. the tau ke nio is short,not so friendly looking, and bear in mind the location of this shop is so good that most probably you will end up there because of the town street layout, and the local people all know the rotten story, if you ask the people from the minimart near by. if you need more infor, please let me know.. it is not the matter of $6, it is cheating. |
