I've just went from Tanah Rata and found TJ Sdn.Bhd is providing motorbike rental services. There's one closed to the Unitity Express Coach stopping spot in Tanah Rata. RM20 < 3 hrs. |

Would be nice if we could ride motorbikes around the town.
I may not staying in the guesthouses, how about a private motorbike rental company outside the guesthouse? |

Greetings Kent. Answering your questions.
1. Officially. No. But I've hear about some people who will rent theirs privately. I've never try, so don't know where you can go about getting one. I've seen tourist riding small bikes around. So someone is doing it on the quiet side.
2. No comment.
3. If you manage to rent one, than yes, it is compulsory to wear a helment. But then again, I've seen local moving around without one. So I guess, it is a do-at-own-risk type of situation. Of course it is advisable to use it, why risk it.
4. Travelling between these two town is very, very convenient. It has been a norm for me to walk from TR to Br, during most of my trips up in CH. So you can guess it is not that far away, just following the road. If you do get lost, than consider yourself to be very fortunate. I've tried but I never have been able to get lost. Just make sure you have a full tank of gas. That is the safest security.
Hopes this helps.
