Wan Hi,

May I know if you and your family will be driving to CH? If so I wonder whether we can convoy as I am also planning to drive up from SGP to CH from Dec 20/21 to Dec 25. Along the way we can look out for one another. Please drop me a line at wan@jel.com.sg

Thanks.

Wan
Caroline Chong Strawberry Park Resort is situated on a hill in between Tanah Rata and Brinchang.
Tulip_jen Thanks so much for your advise, Caroline. We will be staying in Strawberry Park Resort.
Caroline Chong P.S.: Road condition wise, from Tapah - CH (old road) is narrower and a bit more winding but able to reach major towns in Cameron Highlands faster e.g. Tapah to Tanah Rata is only 58 km. The new road which is the Simpang Pulai road no doubt is less winding and wider but takes a longer time to reach major towns and hotels in Cameron Highlands. e.g. Simpang Pulai - Brinchang town is around 80km. So pick your road and off you go to Cameron Highlands.
Caroline Chong Usually for the month of December, Cameron Highlands should have more rain than usual due to northeast monsoon wind from the East Coast. But sometimes due to global warming and other factor like El Niņo, the raining pattern can be disrupted or changed drastically. But for this year, the raining pattern in Cameron Highlands for the month of December looks normal, which is a bit more rain than usual (highlands area is always raining whether is rainy season or not). Talking about temperature, it depends on which part of Cameron Highlands that you are staying, ironically Tanah Rata is a bit cooler than Brinchang although Tanah Rata town is a bit lower than Brinchang. This is due to the micro environment factor that influence the air pressure and wind factor that cause this phenomena. But if you really want a very cool weather, you'd better stay at Kea Farm area like Equatorial Hotel and Resorts in Kea Farm Cameron Highlands. Kea Farm is much higher in altitude compare to Ringlet, Tanah Rata adn Brinchang. On average, Kea Farm area is a bit cooler than these town areas especially night time. Temperature wise, in the month of December, Cameron Highlands is enjoying 21ēC-25ēC around daytime and 13ēC-16ēC during night time, but sometimes strong wind might make you feel cooler than the actual temperature, so please bring along a light jumper (jacket). Have a nice trip to Cameron Highlands.
tulip_jen My family and I will be traveling to CH on 21 Dec from Singapore for 5 days? How will the weather be then? What is the degree? What are we expected to wear? How is the road condition? Thanks.
