My favourite spots

Suria Restaurant - decent indian food and a good spot for teh tarik. The only drawback is the high price

Excellent Food - cheap local hawker food. chicken chop rice is my favourite.

Small town cafe - hidden in a quiet corner of town. clean and cozy kopitiam with various local food on the meny

Fern Nyonya - best place for steamboat and chinese food in tanah rata. Always packed with locals and tourists.

Cant wait for my next trip back up

Recently we went to Madam Tang's place...its our mistake oso to go there around 10pm but the lady at the front counter told us is a very rude manner that the restaurant is closed...there is a lot of ways to tell it politely....even not a single "sorry" word came out frm her mouth..she simply said "eh, we r closed lah" with red big face sumore.. ..the way she answer is just like they dont like ppl coming for their place....just my experience.

Thanks for everyone that contributed to this list. We found this forum very useful on our last trip and we choose the list of restaurants to visit from this list.

Out favourite was

Jasmine Cafe - Nice place to hang out after a long day. The western food good and the environment is cozy

T-cafe - Simple cafe with a unique deco. FYI, this is closed on Sundays.

Fern Nyonya - No trip to Cameron is complete without a steamboat dinner. No complaints on the meal as it was awsome .
Although there was another restaurant along the same shop, Fern Nyonya had a more comfortable that the rest which was more like a tourist place. I saw a lot of locals and tourists of different races eating here so i guess this is a good place.

Hope to have a longer trip next time. Will definately share my experience here.

Like to share with all those that are going to visit Cameron Highlands soon.
This is one of the place that you should visit when you step foot in
Cameron Highlands - BRINCHANG TOWN.

Before I select the outlets for food, I would like to thanks those who
have contributed to the list of best food outlets in Cameron Highlands.
Visited one or two outlets and found that the food are ok - which I will
grade it so so. Decided to go over to Kowloon Restaurant for the fried
mushroom, we came across of a new outlet serving western and Asian food
next to the restaurant. Decided to go in and try it out, to our surprise
the T-bone steak and Lamb chop we ordered was so good that we can't
imagine that we can get and outlet that serve such a good food in a small
area like Cameron and the portion is big and the prices are really economical.
If we were to compare it to the cities we can order two servings here with the
same rate we paid in some outlets in KL.

This cosy outlet is known as J-TeaCafe. Try it out on your next trip to Cameron
Highlands. Made sure to try their scones, pastry , asian food etc.

My selection of the food outlets in Cameron Highlands will be :-
1) J-TeaCafe at Brinchang Town for lunch or Dinner.
2) Excellent food store at Tanah Rata for breakfast.
3) Titiwangsa Restaurant for steamboat dinner at Brinchang.

My choice of food outlets after staying there for 6 days.
My selection are base on pricing, cleanliness, service and
meal value.

a) J TeaCafe - Brinchang - nice place to relax and the steak
is real good. Chicken chop the best I have ever
had. Portion of food really satisfied and with
good deco. Price reasonable.
TRY IT OUT YOUR NEXT TRIP THERE.
b) Titiwangsa Restaurant - Steamboat with Cameron Fresh Green
vegetable all you can eat. The soup base are great
and meal are fresh. Only RM19.00 nett - what do you
want some more.

for breakfast.
