Forum Rules and Guidelines

Rules

  1. Avoid posting the same message multiple times, in multiple forums or in different topics.
  2. Please do not post defamatory messages. If you are not satisfied with a particular service that you found during your stay in Cameron Highlands, criticise fairly and try to be constructive. Remarks of a personal nature will not be tolerated.
  3. Please do not shout. Do use proper language and spelling. The forum is not a mobile phone and you are not limited to 160 characters.
  4. Posts should be related to Cameron Highlands unless specifically allowed.
  5. Respect the rights of others to post and disagree with you.
  6. No advertising. This also means no mention of prices and special offers of rooms, by anyone, unless specifically asked.
  7. No spamming. Cameron Highlands Online has the sole rights to the definition of spamming on its web site. Spam includes but is not limited to,
    • duplicate messages on different forums.
    • duplicate messages on the same forum/topic.
    • frequent one/two-liners that do not add to anything useful to the discussion.
    • advertising of products and services.
  8. We are not liable and not responsible for messages written in the forum.   9. We reserve the right to edit or delete messages which violate the rules above. Repeated violations of the guidelines below may also invite deletion. We also reserve the right to amend and add to the rules stated here without notice.

Guidelines

  1. Please do a search before asking a question. Other people might have answered a similar question before.
  2. When asking questions, please be more specific and give details of what you are looking for. "I'm going to CH, what hotel do you recommend?" is too general and cannot possibly receive an answer that would be useful to you and other people as well.
  3. Please keep to the topic. Please create a new thread if you want to talk about something different or ask an entirely different question.
  4. If you find a very old thread/topic (more than 3 months), please do not add to it anymore. Open a new topic and then you can reference/link to the old thread.
  5. When replying, please ensure you are adding to the discussion. Try telling us why. For example, if you are recommending a particular place, tell us why so other people can make an informed decision.
  6. We ask that you do not reply to topics that have broken the rules or have not followed the guidelines above so as not to encourage that behavior.
